Lots of lofty things are said about rock by the old geezers who are still doing it but all it ever meant was to be a juke box hero since that meant girls, drugs, and money are not far behind.
"Juke Box Hero" was released in 1981 but they weren't one of the 80's hair bands such as Twisted Sister, etc which were loud but generally trivial and they said "We're Not Going to Take It" but it was all crap and they never did anything about it.
Foreigner is mixed for me as "Juke Box Hero is the archetype for garage rock done well and I have loved it. "Starrider" is another long-time favorite but they also released some stinkers and so the mixed feeling about them.
This one they absolutely killed and I love the song to this day, thirty-five years later.
