The Fort Worth Feast

Lotho said the answer to stress is to go out for a feast so we did that and went to Waffle House ...

(Ed:  oy, what the hell kind of feast is that?)

A grand one, matey.   Eating is difficult which is why ...

the other part of the feast already happened and that was stocking up on plums, apples, bananas, some pineapple, and other fruits.  That's the first stuff to disappear when money gets tight and it tastes so damn good.  Apples turned out to be more difficult than I thought but all of it is good stuff.

Medical aside:  I'll go back for more Radiology as they want to see what me guttywuts are doing.  Yah, me too.  I asked again about a biopsy of the skin cancer and got no solid answer but she suggested going to surgery and inquiring in Fort Worth.  It's a deal.  Monday morning.

If it does turn out to be malignant, I want the GOP to disappear from the face of the Earth for what they have been doing to VA.  They send boys to get wasted but they don't give a rat's ass what happens when anyone comes back.  I was not in combat but the question of the Army fucking you up is one of degree as it wrecks everyone, some terribly.

The situation is grim but there's still glory as the ride across Europe worked just as it did with my ol' Dad.  If he had not gone when he did, there's no chance he could have done it later and it's the same for me.  There's no chance I could do it again and I would if I could but I have the major satisfaction of having done it once.  It's not the accomplishment which does much for me but rather the wonderful people I met along the way.

There is no possible way I could have done it without the generous help from Lotho and Yevette.  I hope both of you know how much it is appreciated because there was no chance I could have done it without your help and there was no other time it could happen.

I know it looked like a frivolous thing to do but I've known for some while there are serious health troubles but there hasn't been much I could do about the situation.  I was not aware, at that time, VA would do anything and heading for Scotland was specifically to hook up with NHS so I could at least find out what is happening.  The reason for going to Greece in the first place was I figured, wtf, if you're croaked then go somewhere cool to do it.  Thanks for Andrea and Sundance for helping with that as otherwise I could not have done that either.

Here is brave Haximoto, my brave li'l trouper who carried me almost three thousand kilometers.

This is after crashing in Nice and that tore the storage box off the back of it.  I'm damn lucky it did not damage the Galaxy Guitar.

The picture was taken in Montelimar (yes, that Montelimar)

Montelimar is off the main course of things now because the Autoroute goes past and so do bullet trains ... but they miss a lot ...

Yes, all of that is lavender.  So, wanna go out there and roll around in it??

But it's really not so different ...

This video summed up a lot of things and Cat was burnin' over doing it ... but it was a hoot.

All music by Silas and recorded in Katakolon

The way this worked was I tucked an iPad inside my jacket and then zipped it to keep it mostly in-place.  That was the Silas equivalent of an action cam ... but ... you see it worked.

No matter what comes, none of this would have happened without your help and there's no chance I could ever forget this nor would ever want to forget it.

Note:  the Map tab at the top will show you some of the travels.  Despite my desperate circumstances now, I've been quite privileged to see a great many things.

Thank you.
