Despite all my rage, I'm still just a rat in a cage - Smashing Pumpkins
Notwithstanding the apparent fury in my Twitter traffic, I'm well aware I'm just a 'rat in a cage' and I derive more amusement than lividity from that fact.
You've got to larf, mate. (Ithaka: You've Got to Larf (Battle of Britain Story from My Mother))
Note: if your proclivity is toward soft rock you are so seriously not going to dig that song (larfs).
A great deal of rock was more driven by rage than drugs (e.g. rage at the Vietnam War, rage at an overbearing and unethical government, etc, etc)
That's likely a large part of why George Carlin thinks fans of soft rock should be killed. Sure as hell he remembers and he was likely carrying a large packet of rage of his own but he discovered a peach of a way to mitigate it. That loops right back to You've Got to Larf.
"Mississippi Queen" isn't so much focused on anger but playing hard because it feels soooo damn good to do it.
Sure I have my anger but it only makes me want to play. Yevette knows I haven't even raised by voice about VA because that's not how it plays out here in the real world where we want funny or loud and rage by itself doesn't do all that much.
Note: I have no bitch with VA as they do the best they can with the resources they have. The rest of that editorial doesn't need to be written again because, see, I only want to crank up the Galaxy Guitar and stretch those strings a little bit because life, you know, it's at the end of a bent string.
Can you dig it, Face?
Yah, I knew that you could.
