Drone Bombs and America's Moral Negation

After the 9/11 attack, America had a brief period of moral ascendancy as will sometimes come to the victim of a dastardly crime.  Any claim to moral ascendancy started fading almost immediately as 'The War President' made it clear he would do something much worse than the original attack.  The moral ascendancy disappeared altogether after Iraq was attacked as the lies from the White House on the matter were coming faster than snowflakes in a New England nor'easter.  The ultimate disgrace of it was that there was no basis for the Iraq conflict beyond growing Bush's ego as he really loved being 'The War President' and you bet his brainless dolt of a wife was diggin' it.

However, that wasn't quite enough for him as the destruction of any code of justice or international law did what is most likely irreparable damage to the global perception of American integrity.  To really ensure America would take its place in the Hall of the Greatest War Criminals all time, Bush gave us the drone bomb, the most cowardly weapon the world has ever seen.  He also gave us torture as a standard operating procedure so his legacy is assured.

Obama not only continued to use the drone bomb but has expanded it far beyond the original uses observed under the Bush administration and all without restraint, consideration, or any last vestige of morality.  They will still write history books about him but they won't look anything like he had hoped.  Obama would have had a great legacy but, further compounding the overall disgrace, he was never more than an animate form of a Bush drone and is now just another war criminal.

It is said by some that the majority of Americans support the drone program and, even in the unlikely even that it's true, it doesn't mean much.  Given the way America crawls with Nazis and does almost nothing, it wouldn't be difficult to get solid support for making the country all white.  And this was the final disgrace of the Bush Era:  the clear proof that democracy means absolutely nothing.

To ensure democracy will never mean anything again, the Supreme Court yesterday stabbed America in the back by removing any impediment to campaign contributions, thereby permitting even greater abuse of the system by the richest people in the country.  As you saw with Bush, he bought Florida, bought the Supreme Court, and thus bought the White House.

In short, the country can no longer be saved and nothing remains but to burn it to the ground.
