Speaking of Fairy Princesses

There's no substitute for Bloom County.  Welcome to Oz although Opus doesn't much look like a Munchkin.  (Yes, that's a TV debate at the outset)

One thing we know about Fairy Princesses is their enthrallment the first time they blow the puff ball off a dandelion and it's a rare privilege to see.  This is likely old news to parents but, to people who don't have kids (i.e. me), it looks a whole lot like magic.

Note:  that's not a lament as it was never my dream to make babies.  For some that dream is with them from maybe quite young but it never showed up in me.  Not to worry about procreation as my family made a lotta babies and three of the families actually made enough to ensure their long-term survival (i.e. they made more than 2.1).

According to the whizkids, for a population to at least replenish itself, it must average 2.1 babies and unknown how many need to do that (i.e. all parents?  all couples?  everybody?).  Neither Deutschland nor America do that and likely many of the developed nations are in that situation.  Immigrants aren't just welcome, they're vital to keep the population alive.  Plus they bring their music and America has always thrived on that.  Without the African heritage, jazz would use a simple house beat.

In fact, yesterday Italy announced migrant workers were bringing almost as much money as Fiat.  (RT:  Migrants bring Italy nearly as much money as Fiat – research)  That's quite a good thing since it seems Fiat is going to bail.  (CNN:  Fiat's founders are leaving Italy)

Note:  even if you don't care about Fiat leaving, there's a highly cool video on that page about teaching Ferrari drivers how to race.

(Ed:  Fairy Princesses don't care about such things!)

Of course and what a wonderful situation for them and for us to behold.  If only we could preserve their innocence forever.  It looks like in Bloom County, we can.
