Some of the most high-power scientists anywhere would stop by to hang out with my ol' Dad in the living room and, sure I'll drop names, Frankel was one along with Dobzansky, Lewontin and many others. These are scientists who have led the world in the study of genetics and my ol' Dad was one of them since he wrote the seminal work on the simulation of population genetics with computers back in the fifties.
Of course I'm proud of my ol' Dad as he was, well, crap with some things but genetics he knew perfectly and the world of genetics benefited from it, crediting him and reading his work even to this day. The research he did was primarily in the fifties yet he was invited to a conference not long before he died where they could honor him for that contribution.
Again today there was offered science by a Republican with regard to climate change but there's a fundamental difference to science as it's approached by amateurs or by scientists. Republicans only look to science for long enough to prove a false point while scientists do their studies for their sheer love of knowledge and they work for answers, never agendas. We already know what Republicans love and it sure as hell isn't knowledge.
I'm fed-up to my last hair follicle with rubbish science from Republicans since they make no secret their only interest is in money and any aspect of humanitarianism burned out of their shallow souls long ago, leaving them empty withered casks with no semblance of real life left within them and not a vestige of real spirituality except in terms of what self-aggrandizing benefit it brings. They would piss on on the corpse of Jesus if they could make a buck on it and they do that endlessly with their unrestrained murders around the world.
The only way Republicans can push their rubbish science is when you fail to research what they have said with people who are much more qualified on such matters since they don't speak from an agenda but rather from knowledge. For example, Republicans speak with confidence about their knowledge of climate change, albeit without the faintest scientific or intellectual accreditation to do so, and without ever missing a disingenuous beat they claim their testimony is more valid than the vast majority of the world's scientific researchers.
Republicans use Ivar Giaever, a Nobel Prize winner in Physics about fifty years ago or so, and the scientist has never been a real climatologist in his life. They latch onto that single example as if this proves the world is not flat while they assiduously drive toward flattening it.

You can choose science or you can choose Republicans but you can't have both. I've known both extremely well in my life and can state categorically the scientists are almost always a better class of people. The ongoing antagonism to science by Republicans unless it suits them is just one of the their ideas which is too dangerous to suffer.
And suffer you will if you listen to them, just look at what they did to the world with their indiscriminate bombing while they blame everyone else for aggression.
