In part the intrigue is the pomp and elegance of the Queen of England and the Russian Patriach (RT: Russia’s Patriarch Kirill meets Queen Elizabeth II, discusses Christians in Europe)
Queen Elizabeth was not likely decked out in her uniform of royal finery and there are no photographs of the meeting so maybe the Patriarch was just wearing blue jeans. Then the Queen can tell him, man, you should have seen Rod Stewart's threads. (Ithaka: A Kingling and a Ding-a-Ling w/pic)
How about that for some sartorial kit, huh? That is one sharp-dressed man.
(Ed: more like crazy-dressed to me!)
As you wish but I think he looks cool and I'm diggin' the colors.
But the Queen never fails to wear a cool hat and is always dressed perfectly, presumably with a staff of attendant courtiers to ensure every aspect of the outfit is just so damn royal.
Note: I mean no disrespect as she was a young woman during the Battle of Britain and she didn't shirk anything. She was just as 'queenly' as you would ever expect a Monarch to be.
The meeting was all toward peace and that editorial can write itself.
