"Rappers Suck" - Sam Kinison (video)

Maybe you think drugs do this but the set is after he got clean.  There may be some rule Sam didn't break but it would take some while to find it.  Nashville banned burying elephants within the city limits.  He probably did not violate that one.

Note:  we assume Nashville has that law because at some time in its twisted history as Guitar City, some wiseguy got the brilliant idea.  'Well, I've got this dead elephant so let's just dig a hole in the backyard to bury it.'

That made sense back then in Nashville but not so much to cops who determined, yes, law is necessary to prevent any recurrence.  Even then, your government was looking out for you.

Sorry but we cannot advise as to what became of the hypothetical dead elephant.

For me, it's simple as I have never cared much about lyrics.  When it's all about lyrics, there's nothing left but the drums and maybe a bass and all I'm thinking is ...

WHERE THE HELL IS THE REST OF THE BAND????

Motorcycles I Have Loved and Crashed, a Fond Retrospective w/pics

There are multiple crashes documented here and bike crashes have a certain measure of drama.  You are warned.  It's not gory but, dayum, that is one messed-up individual.  I heard about some hip-hop guy cracking up his bike the other day and I think he wound up with a broken leg.  You got off lucky, guy (laughs).

Be cool, stay not dead.  The cagers don't care, they aren't the ones who die.

As to what was in those pipes ... nothin'.  The pic shows a suburban nightmare and you can imagine the joy this bike brought to them when I left, sometimes around four in the morning.

She was my favorite and the crash wasn't her fault.  The other car sneaked out of my blind side where I was too dumb ass to prepare to handle.  WHACK ... on the floor again, albeit with quite a bit more busted, most pitifully the girl as she was totalled.  Someone said even the motor was bent but I don't see how that's even possible.  The whole front end was wrecked so maybe the frame bent or some such but I was too smashed-up to care much what happened.  She was murdered and I didn't want to see her dead body.

From that into two Tilox every four hours and that continued for an extremely long time.  After two Tilox, you will sleep.  Multiple surgeries happened over the next year or two and I was carted around like the haul from the supermarket in the back of a van on my wheel chair.  To this day I deeply appreciate the one who did that and it's not forgotten nor will it be.

This one really is a historical document

She wasn't looking so good that day.  Me either, for that matter.  First Biker Law:  don't let the fuckers hit you.  I did.  I'm down.

The windshield is smashed because that's where I went into it.  The entire event could only have lasted a few milliseconds but it plays out a lot longer in my head.  This one ain't ever going to go away.  The two angels to each side of me appeared out of nowhere.  There's the proof that really happened.  After they were packing me up to put me in the ambulance (i.e. cutting off my clothes in the street to find what's broken), the angels disappeared and I don't know their names.

There's no way I could talk or do much of anything as it felt like my balls were afire.  I figured they must have hit the gas tank on the way over the handlebars so that must have broken it and now it's gasoline and I'm burning.  Don't ever do that as any chance of impact with anything means get up on the pegs.  I can't feel the pain now as our minds, affectionately, don't permit that but I clearly remember the thought.

Note:  amazingly enough, the stones weren't damaged.  They hurt like one human motherfucker for some while as they swelled as big as grapefruit and I was black and blue from one knee to the other and everywhere in-between.  This was total technicolor.

This was also when the baby doctor came with the papa doctor when he did his rounds.  One of them lifted the end of my sheet to verify the damage for himself.  His only comment was, "Holy shit!"

If that would be your reaction, you may want to review bedside manner with the papa doctor.

Get a good tan for the pics after the crash.  That's important.  That is one seriously-drugged mofo.

Prior to that was a Honda 750.  She had looked better than this particular moment.  Check out the hands.  How will this guy ever play again.  This was not the ultra-big crash but rather the medium-big crash.  Most of my back was left on I-71.  This one was a bitch for Lotho as he saw it and I was doing just about 100 mph when the bike started to wobble.  This is just a summary so the bike bounces up and down off the road while I spin around, leaving my back and, well, looks like most of my upper body on I-71.

Note:  this is where I learned about getting a good tan before crashing.

The bitch for Lotho was my helmet came off when I hit the ground and it went shooting across the road in front of him.  How does he know, he thinks my head is in it.  There's another bandage on the back of my head where that was sliding too.  Genius, it was.

As soon as he and Smooth Dave could turn their bikes around, Lotho came full-bore down the fast lane of the Interstate in the wrong direction so he could try to get oncoming cars to get out of it and hopefully not hit me.  He could see I got up but I was stumbling about, completely dazed, and he was worried now I would walk in front of a car.

Only bros do stuff like that.

Note:  I call him Smooth Dave because he had that likeability gene.  Everybody liked him.

There was a Honda 500 in the mix but that one is the only bike no-one ever crashed.  It was a big porker of a bike and the kickstand would hit the road if you cornered hard.  That would make the rear wheel jump up and then there was a little tingle when it came back down again.  Yahooooo!

The gift wrapping is not from crashing the Honda 500 but rather the Honda 750.  This pic is only to show I have no sense whatsoever.  Lotho was in on this pic and I'm not sure who else.  Lotho rode it a lot too and neither of us ever crashed it.  Hopefully no-one ever did.

There were others but, unfortunately, no pics.  There is one grand collage, tho.

There was a Yamaha 250 but this one is not mine:

She was one hoot to ride and I'm sure there was a crash somewhere but it wasn't bad enough to make the book.  She was stolen (sort of) and may well live on in scofflaw heaven somewhere.

And there was a Kawasaki 90, the first vehicle on which I ever broke a bone.  This was after years of racing go-karts and all sorts of lunatic things in cars but, if you're really hankering for system damage, nothing really does it like motorcycles.

(not mine but same model)

This one was another example of why it is a Very Bad Idea to go over the handlebars.  Fortunately, I was up on the pegs at the time and I went straight over the handlebars rather than leaving miscellaneous parts of me tangled up along the way.

Collarbone broken in two pieces, complete separation.  I was in the Army at the time and this got me a two-month medical profile which meant zero work.  So I didn't.  There were two places I was supposed to report and each thought I was currently assigned to the other.  Since they didn't know, I saw no reason to advise them and this may have spun out six months before anyone caught onto it.

(Ed:  busted?)

Nope.  They have no defense against stupid.  I had no orders.  I didn't know.

Note:  no-one at Fort Bliss was headed for Vietnam.  These were all the military scofflaws they couldn't put anywhere else.

Recent Posts Added to Make It Easier to Find Them

There's a Recent Posts segment in the upper section of the sidebar and that will list the last ten blog articles.  It's not uncommon to see ten in a day but the trouble with cranking out all this hogwash is it can be difficult to find just the right hogwash.  Some of it is serious, some of it is decadent, and some of it is serious and decadent.  There is one general theme.

(Ed:  music?)

You're one hell of a horse, Mister Ed.

Finding comments has been difficult for anyone as Google doesn't make that easy.  The Recent Posts will show which articles have comments and that makes it enormously easier for me.  It's somewhat klunky in the way it does it but at least it gets it done.  After you make a comment, click on the title in the top of the comment window and it will take you back to the blog.

So, I guess if you have anything to say then that would be a commenter with a comment on the comment commenter.

(Ed:  you been smokin' that ganja?)

Sure as it doesn't take much.  Follow that line through, it adds up.  It looks ridiculous but we like ridiculous.

This isn't yer Cheech & Chong buzz.  Smoking like that means it's cheap reefer and you're smoking too much of it.  Young stoners take a while to get it:  don't keep smoking it.  You will not get any higher.

For me, I take one or two toks and that's a serious buzz as you learn to appreciate the nuances of it.  More than that is, for me, only wasting it.  I want the transport, I don't need to get wasted.  If it leaves me so I can't play then what good is it.

Um, well, I may have digressed somewhat.  Er, any comments?  (larfs)

More digression as Sam Kinison remarked what is it about any celebrity situation that makes people think you can consume supernatural amounts of drugs.  He talks of when he stopped using coke and that one is one excellent perspective.

There's a bloggish celebrity in things and Silas the Rock God hasn't minded striking the pose from time to time.  I also haven't done much to dissuade anyone of the idea I take supernatural amounts of drugs.  I've taken supernatural amounts of drugs over the course of my life and it's been a fookin' rainbow but it's not like I've been shitfaced all the time or someone would have run me over with a car.

(Ed:  a car did hit you, several of them did)

Details, details.  I wasn't stoned either time.  One happened on the way to work and the other happened coming home from work.  What I concluded from it was this:

DON'T GO TO FUCKING WORK!!!

So I don't.  This is much better.

Note:  motorcycles have nothing to do with why I'm not working.

(nearly identical to mine)

On the second crash, this car sneaked out of a hidden driveway and, WHACK, on the floor again.  I'm lying there on the road with my beautiful Honda 350 Street Scrambler lying on her side and all this VW-drivin', bug-eyed, big-eared, doofus son of a bitch can do is poke his head out the window and say, "Uh, are you alright?"

That's the moment for this line:

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU THINK!  YOU JUST HIT ME WITH YOUR FUCKING CAR!!

They were laughing when I limped into the E.R. that time.  They thought it was so amusing to have seen some guy on a bike get hit right outside the E.R.  That's when I said, "I may need to feed you in on a little detail on that.  Yep, that was me."

Every single time, they will say, "Do you know we call helmets 'brainbuckets?'"

Um, yeah, I've heard that before, darlin'.  Thanks.

THAT'S HELPFUL AFTER I CRACKED THE FUCK UP!

Managing Blood Pressure and Skydiving Decadence

The previous standard for doctors was to medicate to manage blood pressure with a target of less than 140.

Note: serious and accurate information up top and then descending into decadence to close.  Or just scroll on down to The All Decadent Part.  The BP information is important at any age but, on review, there's a bit of decadence in there as well.  So, it's a historical document ... this is what happened.

The systolic reading is the upper value in your blood pressure.  Typically it's about 120/80 (i.e. systolic is 120) and mine was stable until about forty as I got a free blood pressure test every time I donated blood and that was every two months.  I never felt it was all that heroic as, wtf, I was getting something out of it.

No idea, really, what got the family fired up on donating blood but we pumped gallons of it between us.  It amused my sister that they made her walk around the block a few times to get her blood pressure up enough to let them draw the blood.  It was often a circus as three, four or more would go up there at once.  It may not seem so but it was a good time doing that.

Note:  there was drug abuse happening in, well, all of us but it was religious thing not to have anything floating around your blood when you donate.  Part of the reason was selfish as we didn't want to get busted.  Follow it through.  They've got your blood.  They will test it.  We had no idea if that were true but ... it was a good enough reason, man.  When you got busted back then, you got busted hard.

At around forty, the blood pressure started going up so that started off the medication.  Fortunately, doctors have never prescribed a beta blocker as that can exacerbate problems with COPD, emphysema, etc.  The situation now is what's the appropriate med for the circumstance as the dosage has held generally constant for over twenty years.

In the latest debacle, my blood pressure was still a little over 140 when they sent me back here.  Apparently the doctor was not familiar with the report from the National Heart, Lung, Blood Institute : Landmark NIH study shows intensive blood pressure management may save lives  (I knew about it before I went into the E.R. and that's specifically why I did)

Therefore, managing it to stay less than 120 is the first topic on Thursday.  As of this minute, I'm still afraid to discover what it may be.  Every indication is it is still high but confirming that will start a panic and it's bad enough already.  The doctor is confirmed and things proceed from there.  Meanwhile, stay cool and lie down a lot.

(Ed:  how can you tell?)

There's pressure in my head and it goes up/down.  Ringing in my ears gets worse.  The problem is multiple things can cause that.  Panic will do a handy job.

There may be some thought this ignores the problem but it does the best I can with the medical facilities available to me.  The E.R. was not particularly useful for any more than information and the Veterans Administration is inadequately funded by Congress.  It's fortunate I had set the appointment three months ago and that it's coming up on Thursday.  Without that in-hand, there would be a substantial problem and most likely the only move then would be to go to the VA emergency room in Dallas.

There is no formal medical insurance nor is there any way to get it.  People go on and on about the Affordable Care Act but I know this much:  I've never seen it.  The GOP killed the public health option of it and, sure, thanks for that.

The All Decadent Part

There is one stoner lesson in this one as we were stoners then and at least one of us still is.  Tinkerbell and I but unknown who else went up to drop a pint of blood.  All's good as we're young and healthy so after that we'll blow a joint and enjoy some sunshine, take it easy.   This seems like a good plan so we take care of business at the blood bank and then head back to Hosea which is possibly becoming recognizable to regulars as the site of quite a bit of devilment at that time.

`Twas brillig and, yeah, it was really brillig so that made a peach of a time to sit out in the sun to hang out, looking beautiful in those RayBans, and stoned as any monkey ever hoped.  So that was a great little jam but even then you get toasted if you stay out there too long.  Tinkerbell stood up to go inside.

And immediately started to topple.  I'm thinkin', holy shit, she's going down.  I do believe I did manage to break her fall and she was ok once she stabilized.  We had never considered what happens if you drop a pint of blood and then blow a joint.  Tip:  don't do it.

(Ed:  Tinkerbell is the same sister you took out for skydiving and nearly got her killed that time as well?)

Yep, same sister.  That time she was leaking some blood and I was seriously thinking, man, she's hurt bad this time.

Nope, she wasn't.  She whacked her head on her knee when she landed so she was kind of concussed but she was alright after she could collect herself.

Cadillac Man jumped that day as well and for some it's only necessary to do it once to overcome that personal challenge.  After that once, it really doesn't accomplish anything to do it again since it mostly is just for the thrill after that.

My own choice had been to watch and I have no idea why this choice or to get onto the aircraft to do it too.  It probably had something to do with the camera and one of the other experienced jumpers asked me what's happening.   I said I wasn't going to jump today and he said why not.

The question threw me and annoyed me as go-fasters do not question one another.  You drive when it is time to drive and you will pick the time.  That's probably the No. 1 Go-Faster Rule.  If it's not your choice, you're doing it wrong.

I don't think I ever jumped there again although I did at another place and that was even a novice competition.  I would have done well but I failed to heed some advice which was really important.  From where you land, you must hot-foot it to some location to close your time.  They advised before jumping, before you run, grab the edge of the parachute.  Otherwise it will fill while you run and you will have no chance of going forward.  I thought I had enough room to get away with just going for it.

I didn't.  It was cool, tho.  Those were the most satisfying jumps of all because I got a really good arch in my back which gives the right kind of control for free fall.  You're the master of all creation at that point as there's nothing but you and the Earth because the parachute hasn't even opened yet.  That is one grand experience.

Note:  for ALL thrill-seeking, ALWAYS have an exit plan.  For skydiving you have a reserve parachute.  If the main fails then can jettison it and use the reserve.  If you do this too low then it may not save your life but you have a good chance if you follow the rules (i.e. the reserve has to be well on its way to open by a thousand feet or it can't slow you down in time).

American Iron Below and American Comedy from Sam Kinison (video)

"What are you going to do?  Give sheep the vote?  You've got to believe in love" - Sam Kinison

Ultimate Sam:

"Ladies, if there's something that turns you on,
if there's something that gets you excited,
something that gets you hot,
makes you nasty

How about
FILLING US IN AS TO WHAT THE FUCK IT IS???!!!!  WE'LL DO IT!!!!"

Sam Kinison had a better understanding of American sexuality and relationships between the sexes than a whole lot of people.  He brings truth and he brings it out loud because ... because ...

HE WANTS YOU TO BE ABLE TO FUCKING FIND IT!

Stop Eating Beef or We Will All Die (yeah, yeah, yeah) - John Sutter, CNN

Why beef is the new SUV - by John Sutter for CNN.  He, we assume, is a writer.  He was clear in how much he loves the beef at Snow's BBQ but reading got tiresome after that as it was obvious he was going to hammer a simple point and I didn't want to waste any more time on it.

It takes more energy to eat native beef than to grow soy and turn it into something which seems beef-like.  If we eat soy products (e.g. tofu, etc) then the world will smile and we will start singing that Coke song.

Blow that simple point into a whole article and you, too, can work at CNN.  Presumably Sutter only just learned of it.  Hoo-rah.

My knowledge on the subject comes initially from some Ecology courses in university and later reading.  That was in '73 or '74.  So how is it people are only just coming to learn of this stuff now.  Why weren't they taught.

We will sing that Coke song if we don't, once again, ignore the problem of population control.  You can change menus, food products, or any damn thing else you like but you can't feed your people when you have too many of them.  It's why the GOP doesn't care if the poor starve; they will just get more.

The premise in general is people are wasteful and consuming beef products is part of that.  The first part is true but the latter has little relationship.  When the population is more or less in-balance, it won't make much difference if some prefer beef ... well ... except for the cow.

This may yet be the most cynical approach yet to climate control as the general thinking is 'screw everything else wrong with climate management and we fix it by becoming vegetarians.'  The only creatures made happy by that are cows ... and some vegetarians ... but I repeat myself.

There's so much knee-jerking going on in reaction to anything that news has progressively less value for much of any real purpose beyond entertainment.  In the same edition today, CNN featured an article on their 'front page' about 'Undressing Kim Kardashian.'  So, 'Stop Eating Beef' wasn't such a good article but 'Undressing Kim Kardashian' couldn't have been anything but tabloid crap.  She has not, to my knowledge, ever done anything.

(Ed:  eat her?)

Come on, Mister Ed.  Even a horse should have better taste than that.

American Iron: Formula S Barracuda / Pontiac TransAm (historical document)

Plymouth built the Formula S Barracuda back when Detroit built cars for NASCAR rather than a slot-car track.  This was long before Bill Clinton stabbed Detroit in the heart with NAFTA.

She was one dark-green heap of rolling, testosterone-fueled, bad-ass with a 383 cubic-inch motor and a four-barrel carburetor to keep her breathing.  She breathed plenty ... and loud ... and fast.  Of three brothers in the family, I suspect all of us were busted in it at one time or another.

The cool thing about the four-barrel was the progressive opening of the barrels.  Normally it ran as a two-barrel for fuel economy but when you 'kick it down' (i.e. floor it), the other two barrels would open and now you're Chuck Yeagar in a Starfighter hammering down the runway like you're going to launch to another planet.

Except for a little problem with cops.  They didn't much like this kind of behavior but, what could they do, these kinds of rods were all over the place and the road was nothing but a drag strip.

Note:  the car pictured is quite similar to the one my ol' Dad bought and which, consequently, my brothers and I mightily abused.  I have no doubt he got his licks into it as this was the first car after station wagons and you bet he was hammering it.

What will you do when you don't have to drive one of those dodgy SUVs anymore.

So that's kind of a historical document like George Washington crossing the road to find where the chickens went ... but ... there is more.

There's no clear memory who definitely got busted in the Barracuda but I know for sure for this one:  everyone who drove it.  This is not a precise match for the vehicle but it's as close as I could find.

Doc, the middle brother, bought this one and I believe it was the first year Pontiac offered the TransAm.  Some people would tell him Pontiac never built such a vehicle but he needed only tell them, "Dude, I own one."

Doc always has had a great need for speed and this one was ferocious.  The motor was probably about 400 c.i. but who knows what else he did to it.  Doc has always also had a need to make any car go faster.  The last I heard, he was building Camaros pushing 700-800 horsepower.

So, that should adequately set the stage as you know now these boys are complete scofflaws.  Driving fast is important and tickets, well ... pfft ... tickets happen.

Some tickets do more than happen ... some of them explode.

Lotho was driving down Central Parkway toward Ravine Street and rolling at one exceptionally illegal and drunken speed.  There isn't one of us who did not deserve to be killed by our drunk driving but dumb luck sometimes keeps you alive.  In this case, it was more dumb luck ... plus a ton of driving skill ... which did it.

Doc and Lotho may still disagree as to who was the fastest but I didn't care.  I just liked to go fast and racing didn't mean much of anything to me.

Lotho rolled off Central Parkway onto Ravine Street in a full racing drift and this isn't the girly stuff they do for drifting on TV, this was hard-core, big metal automotive balls.

Are you, uh, ready to rumble?

Ravine Street, Cincinnati.

There is no telling how fast Lotho had the car going and these cars did slide exceptionally well so he didn't really slow down that much ... nor did he hit anything.  He still had his foot deep into the accelerator and was punching straight up that hill.  The picture doesn't convey so much the steepness of it as the other street intersecting is McMicken and the road levels off for that before continuing higher.

Due to the exceptional speed and Lotho's exceptional indifference to the law, the car launched on one side the intersection and landed again on the other, still, amazingly, without crashing.

These kinds of feats gain some kind of coolness when you have an audience but somewhat less if your audience is a cop and even less than that if the cop's cruiser is waiting at the stop sign on McMicken to cross Ravine.  This gave the cop one premium vantage point to watch Lotho's exercise in automative aerodynamics as he flew over McMicken and landed, still under full acceleration, on the other side.  The man can drive, I'm tellin' you.

But that's when things got weird.

I was crashed back at the house when I got a phone call.  Man, I need to get home from District 5 headquarters but they won't let me drive the car.

I'm pissed because he woke me up and I make a little deal with myself.  If they can catch me before I get home, then they bust me too.

They did.

I'm really not sure how many police cruisers we had engaged that evening but it's not likely we brought much joy to District 5 which, I'm sure, had better things to do.  Oh, one of them again, huh?

Yep, Hosea Avenue ... get on up there.

NOTE:  none of us continued the drinking and driving beyond the early 20's.  That may explain the fact that none of us totaled one of these cars nor did we get smashed up in them.  That came with motorcycles ... but that's another historical document.

Working on Some Tasteless for You - It's Not Like a Political Speech and Needs Thinking

We're sure there are some opportunities in tastelessness as, it's America, where else would you go for it.

(Ed:  Europe?)

Right you are, Mister Ed.  You're turning out to be a smart horse.  Do you know any dirty stories?

(Ed:  I'm a horse.  How dirty can it get?)

Well, you tell me, man.  That's why I ask.

(Ed:  I jumped over a fence once even though I knew you didn't want me to do it)

I tell you, Gus.  I'm not really sure you're understanding tasteless.  Work with me on this.

(Ed taps his hoof on the ground to indicate agreement)

Now you're sounding like a Republican and their dirty stories always involve dead women or live boys.

(Ed:  you stole that line)

That I did.  Show me a comedian who does not steal and I will show you a comedian who is telling elephant jokes.

Q.  So do you know why elephants wear red sneakers?
A.  So they can hide in strawberry patches.

The stolen line:

The only way you can get busted in Washington is if you get caught in bed with a dead woman or a live boy.

That's been a standard for a long, long time.

Zuckerberg is a Clinton Democrat - Enough Money to Strike the Pose but Plastic Fakery

Mark Zuckerberg gives millions to Planned Parenthood, in exactly the same way as Hillary Clinton spends her money for exactly the effect she wants to create, while at the same time he sucks billions out of the country.

Zuckerberg's behavior has nothing even remotely to do with that of a Democrat as every other aspect of his life is highway robbery and manipulation of the people with Facebook.  Any pretense he makes of liberalism is nothing more than the same charade Clinton makes.  You will never find more deeply-entrenched tools of the state than those two.

There remains only one free man in Washington:  Bernie Sanders.

You can choose Sanders or you can make any other choice and get this after bombing Iran.

All of them are big on 'turning pages' but their book isn't worth a damn and they probably didn't read it anyway, their education gives no evidence of ever reading anything.

Putin Steals Obama's Thunder and CNN Calls That News

When neither Obama nor Biden have ever been more than tools of the GOP and the Pentagon when it came to foreign policy, it was pointless for either of them to go the United Nations to meet with Putin as he would top either one of them without breaking a sweat.  (CNN:  Putin steals Obama's thunder on the world stage)

Hot tip on that, CNN:  Putin took the thunder years ago over the absurd, vicious, and manufactured confrontation in Ukraine.  The latest from Obama on that was he can't stand by while Russia invades Crimea.  Hot tip on that, Educated Guy:  Russia was already in Crimea and has been for likely most of the last century.  Great job on keeping up with the news, Educated Guy.

Congratulations to Joe Biden on getting your kid into the gashouse for the Ukraine.  As always, 'show me the money,' right.  (Western Journalism:  REVEALED: Joe Biden’s Cocaine-Using, Navy-Busted Son Now Working For Huge Ukraine Company)

If Biden does show up for a CNN debate and this subject is not mentioned, you'll know investigative journalism in the United States is completely dead and Clinton is a shoe-in for the corrupt title.  Please do thank her again for how Bill Clinton stabbed America in the heart with NAFTA and with enabling the big banks.

Bill Clinton was a GOP as the RNC would ever want and Hillary Clinton shows no sign of any difference.  Both are a disgrace to the Democratic Party.

Any idea the Democrats represent some political ideal up there with Mother Teresa comes only from being woefully misinformed.

Republicans can only waste my time as they permit people to starve to death in America and their only concern will come in this form:  see, that's where he went wrong.  He's fucked.  Once they have the cover story, they're gone.  Republicans are not typically too deep.

Proof of the lack of depth in Republicans is the total absence of any right-wing guitarists of any significance.  Not one of the best was ever a conservative.  Some say Ted Nugent qualifies but only to trailer trash.  No musician gives a rip about him.  I haven't heard anything respectful said about Ted Nugent by any other musician in at least forty years.  The same applies, to a large extent, to the Republican Party.

Standard disclaimer:  the Tea Party is not the GOP.  The real Republicans are the Goldwater variety.  Any reference to the GOP in this article assumes the Tea Party is in it.  As to what the GOP shall do about that, it's their house, they can fookin' clean it.  When they do, you'll know they are serious.  Right now, it's just a bad farce.

It Says I Will Die at Any Moment (heightened symptom from Klonopin withdrawal)

This is partly to help myself focus as it's incredibly difficult.  Everything here is regarding Klonopin withdrawal and discerning that which is real.

There wasn't total surprise in this as I knew you do not exceed the prescribed amount of it as otherwise you would easily get accustomed to it and end up grinding up the tablets and stuffing your face with it.  That is not what happened.  I thought I was inside the rules and I was as far as I knew them.  Any doctor who prescribes Klonopin should be held fully accountable for it.

Note:  this is not setting up a lawsuit.  Even if I did, it would be pointless.  A lawyer only needs to read the blog and s/he will have enough to destroy me.  It's not reasonable as I only smoke reefer in addition to this Klonopin (plus blood pressure med and better breathing meds) but I would still get nailed to the wall.

For quite a while nothing would work.  Nothing went into my body and nothing came out of it.  This was not from constipation, it just stopped.  I tried to force myself to eat and I couldn't do it.  Only now with chicken noodle soup is anything improving.  Yevette also got protein drinks to help get this started.  I couldn't eat for three days before that.

This is withdrawal and I never got close to addicted to anything else.  Believe whatever you like about reefer.  I don't consider it addiction when I don't go berserk if it's not around.

The symptoms are racing pulse, dizziness, confusion, and deranged thinking.  This takes vastly longer to write than it does you for you to read.

There is pressure from everything.  I don't know if I have a headache, high blood pressure, and my head will just fookin' explode ... or none of these things; I can't tell.  Note well, I don't exaggerate anything.

They tagged me as FALL RISK when I was at hospital and that hasn't changed much.  Walking is perilous and the doctor asked if the room spins but that's not it.  My balance gets lost.

Deranged thinking is hugely disturbing but there's nothing for it other than to roll.  Reefer is not playing much into this and the only benefit so far is less coughing because I'm smoking far less of anything.

Part of the reason for writing is I don't really get what is happening.  The withdrawal complicates the hell out of that as discerning what's real is difficult.

There's extreme sensitivity to audio as any sound can send me into the stratosphere.  This is wired like I have never known before.  This is even after snorting pure crystal from a Mason jar full of it with a looney back in the Army around '71.  That was the first and last time I ever did that.

(Ed:  crystal?)

Pure speed.  Unknown which specific variety but this guy had to be doing some major dealing to have so much of it.  That's the kind of thing you don't ask.  This wasn't the stuff you make from allergy pills or whatever.  Again, you don't ask how he does it.

When I lie down, I can bring it all down.  Pulse settles and after a while I don't have the immediate thought I'm in danger of death.  If you've ever done coke, you know how it goes with that stuff as you lie down and your heart is pounding like double-kick drums and you're thinking, man, it was a great party but I really wasn't planning on dying yet.  It's the same thing but some Jedi mind stuff can manage it whereas with coke you're in it until it wears off or you die.

At the same time, there's a manic drive to accomplish.  Do it now or it will be lost.  That's not true as so what if it's lost but the pressure comes.

This is, bar none, the scariest thing I have ever experienced and I've done some seriously scary stuff.  Motorcycles, racing karts, skydiving, etc, etc and none of this was simple thrill seeking as I doubt anyone simply 'seeks thrills.'  In my view, it's exactly the same as using illegal drugs for the visions.  For me, if you won't experience everything, why even show up.

There is no noticeable depression other than the obvious of, well, this sucks.  I don't want to die and I don't embrace it.  However, any symptoms of risk are exacerbated by the withdrawal from Klonopin and this creates terror.  It feels like it could come from anywhere at any moment.  There is enough damage to my body and results of blood pressure test, etc give credibility to the thinking ... but it is still flawed.

Note:  this is NOT whining.  Understand what happens here.  I never had any idea Klonopin has this kind of destructive power.  The reason for writing is I didn't feel there was enough detail in what Stevie Nicks said.

She said it's 'hellish' but maybe if people understood or even had a glimmering of how hellish it gets, they would not screw with this perfectly legal drug.

Mark Knopfler, Master Guitarist - He Shows His Moves (video)

Learn from the best.

The reason for the focus on Lindsey Buckingham and Mark Knopfler is they're likely the best of the guitarists who play rock using a finger-picking technique.  The majority of rock guitarists or even any electric guitarists use a flat pick which is some type of plastic.  The sounds and the styles of play are not at all the same so guitarists usually go one way the other.  Usually those who are good with a finger-picking technique do at least well with flat picking as well.

Lotho is a personal friend of Mark Knopfler and he told me that after he met the band during a concert in Cincinnati; I think at Bogart's on Vine Street.  Who knows what they call it now but there has been big music coming out of there since the mid-70's.  Prior to that it was the Inner Circle and I think there was music in there at that time was well.  (WIKI:  Bogart's)
