How to Be 100% Sure Cops Will Screw with You

Just flash this glory at an Arizona cop and your ass will begging for Yuma. (WIKI:  Yuma Territorial Prison)

Let's hear it from Fred the Freedom Fighter.

“I agreed with its values and essential moral compass and in this day and age, where it seems like religion has been used as a weapon against other people, I wanted to find something that was peaceful, fun, and lighthearted such as myself.”

RT:  Flying Spaghetti Monster devotee wins right to wear colander on head in ID

Arizona state cop:  it says here you're fun, boy

Fred:  yes, sir, officer, sir

Arizona state cop:  you know what I do for fun, boy?

Fred:  no, sir, officer sir

Arizona state cop:  I fuckin' shoot heretics so start running and I'll give you a lead

Fred:  you just do this because of my hat, officer, sir

Arizona:  not true, boy, since we give illegal Mexicans a chance too before we shoot them since then it looks like they were trying to escape.  You're losing time, boy.  Run

"It's Novel Being the AntiChrist" #Poetry

Discovering I'm the AntiChrist
is really just as well
since any who may think of it
want me burning up in Hell
and it gets almost amusing
since I'm still alive and free
when the only Hell I'm seeing
is the one thy built around thee

I'm really not a sinner
unless you stretch the word
but only one thing comes from that
you'll take a bust for watching birds
There's one who knows the truth of it
and says, "Don't feel any guilt,"
but it's known even while the words are said
that's not the way we're built

Without those words there is darkness
since that sin is absolutely real
but forgiveness from the one who hurts
starts bringing light we can feel
since in light and love and music
there's the magic of all good things
and any one or all of those is
makes a gala reason to sing

There won't be any burning
not here and not this time
since we know the Traveler is coming
but we cannot know the time
We're curious to hear what he's saying
and what he's doing in his trip
In light we're free to do that
and joining him we will

I may be an AntiChrist
at least in the eyes of some
but that mustn't be a reason
to lose sight of the Sun
Without light we're bringing nothing
without love we can't make it true
and the music brings the song
which gets the whole world through

We don't sing about religion
but do that if you will
and still we will be walking
for the other side of the hill
It doesn't matter if the grass is greener
and there may be no grass at all
but any new horizon
will always hold us in its thrall

"Abstract Chaos" by Artist J. Poplin @juicedawg73

How can the Rockhouse not love chaos and Artist J. brings a whole lot of it in this one I'm seeing bees, a whole lotta bees, with big ones, little grey ones, and bees and wings all over.  Maybe this is the hive the way it looks through compound eyes as with a bee.  We see what the bee sees and that looks highly damn cool to the Rockhouse, like the best 60s light show we ever saw.

This one grabbed my eye immediately since I love the dynamics in this, prog rock, and just about anything since the Rockhouse sees the dynamic as the viability since a flatline is a deceased bird of flight ... but ... there's a whole lotta buzzin' going on in this one.

So, online art critics, where will you hang this piece since it's so powerful it will entirely dominate the average white-on-white hipster home of the future.  In the Rockhouse view, it should hang anywhere and if you can't handle it then move along, move along.  We love it because it practically vibrates.

Please do use the links to learn more about Artist J. on Twitter.  He's an Indie so he needs to push his stuff out there to have any chance of selling it and the Rockhouse loves to help with that because ... Theory of Propagated Goodness and that whole shebang.  The goodness may not come back to me but it will come back to someone and on it goes.

The Neophytes of the Nebulizer and Dancing with the Demon

If you know what a nebulizer does then you won't be so pleased to need one but they're a blessing if you do.

Nebulizers came up also with Cadillac Man and not at my initiation since he talked of breathing benefits he was deriving from it.  There's a fundamentally different way he uses that one and the way I use one here since mine is loaded with Albuterol.

While I'm not sure the Albuterol does that much since my lungs are the biological equivalent of Death Valley, there is another benefit quite like that which Cadillac Man gains from the nebulization process since it's something of a humidifier for lungs, sinuses, etc which helps get gunk out, etc, etc.

Since you're wanting to get to the dancing with the demon part, this is where we introduce the idea of using some type of tincture of the ganja and nebulize that.  The difference between this and a vaporization is a vaporizer works by heating the herb and there's still high and heated impact to your lungs which is always destructive.  However, the process is different with a nebulizer and it's seriously viable to consider the use of some type of ganja extract that way since it brings no heat at all.

Be careful out there, ganja monkeys, since there's the potential this way to absorb highly-inappropriate levels of the ganja.  The nebulizers typically require a face mask for inhalation of the vapor but Cadillac Man came back to his pad, way, way back in time, where he found some glue sniffers who had somehow rigged things so they couldn't remove the contraption they were using if they got too wasted and they had passed out, still absorbing more of the poisonous fumes.  There's a high probability the Cadillac Man saved their dumb ass lives by pulling them away from that thing and may have saved his own since that hammered the point about using drugs which 'my spirit could kill.'

Note:  he hasn't used anything of that nature for many years and he absolutely never considered any type of rubbish buzz such as sniffing glue, huffing floor polish, or whatever crazy bullshit some people may do.

It has dawned on me I haven't been pretending to be a Teacher as a device for some comic amusement in referring interested students here or there since it seems I became a Teacher and that's novel.

One thing I know definitely about teaching is the hardest courses yield the most and I learned that from one of the best, my ol' Dad.  The irony is that he was exceptional in teaching his students but not so much with teaching his kids and there's some comedy in that since he and Jaffe joked they may do better if they swapped their misbehaving kids since maybe then they would learn something.

In any case, be fucking careful out there since I've danced with these demons for fifty years and I'm still dancing because I recognized immediately or not too longer after ... some shit is bad news.  We had quite a bit of help that way in the 60s as the advisory from Steppenwolf was widely known but it went down to the level of simple yet valid mantras such as speed kills and that one was widespread as well.

There's only one time this Teacher ever tooted the crystal and it was back in the Army.  I was up for three days, my tallywhacker shrank to the size of a skeeter's tweeter, and that was one of the most worthless drug experiences of my life.  I never did it again.

You absolutely need to recognize this, ganja monkeys, since if you can't spot the drugs which will take your shit and bounce it off a wall then you probably ain't goin' make it.

Here at the Rockhouse, we don't have a huge concern about that since ganja monkeys have no interest in death except in terms of hoping it's a long time from now.  However there are opiates and other types of drugs, which are immediate death or a transient death-like state.  In fifty years, I have never met a ganja monkey anywhere who wanted that.

As always, be careful out there ... and stay the fuck away from those opiates no matter who gives them to you.

Presentation of #Marijuana in Same Class as #Heroin is Categorically Evil

Every day, 91 Americans die from an opioid overdose. Drug overdoses overall -- most of them from opioid painkillers and heroin -- are the leading cause of accidental death in the US, killing more people than guns or car accidents. In fact, while Americans represent only about 5% of the global population, they consume about 80% of the world's opioid painkillers. But how did we get to this point?

CNN:  One short letter's huge impact on the opioid epidemic

The Rockhouse is not even faintly interested in CNN's explanation since we have seen the abysmal failure of those news organizations to say much of anything about opiate addiction until it came in vogue in opposition to Trump.  Now they play like "Onward, Christian Soldiers" but CNN soldiers or any others from MSM only march to the bank.

The Rockhouse adamantly believes nothing will ever be resolved by such lowbrow melodrama since nothing ever was except the people who make the melodrama get rich.  The reason for the opiate epidemic is unchanged since its inception and all of it goes to Washington with its big money corruption. They could have solved the problem but didn't even try and instead have been playing as if marijuana is some terrible thing ... while still they do nothing about opiates.

We're not defensive; we're disgusted.

There's a junkie or pain pill addict croaking roughly every fifteen minutes around the clock and no-one ever died from marijuana.  It may be possible to croak someone with one of these marijuana extracts which results in some highly-concentrated product but that isn't marijuana anymore; it's just another pill which may kill you ... but now the clever corporate hipsters make candies of that nature which may also kill you or at least your children if they somehow find it.

The perennial risk from any revolution is the new leaders will be just as bad as the old ones and we've seen that in the corporate ganja monkeys who have spread their marijuana-powered candied yams but they became, in effect, surrogates for Big Pharma in terms of pushing products which they know or should know are potentially harmful.

No-one ever croaked from smoking the native bud.

Frankly, the Rockhouse doesn't even give a tub of Lime Jell-O for whatever Jeff Sessions may do since marijuana has been illegal everywhere I have lived for the last fifty years and the underground quality did nothing but get better.  I never stopped smoking it except during certain circumstances and only for expediency.

Note:  if you work in a bank and have any sort of significance at all but get busted for ganja, that news will go to the front page of the morning paper since they love to slash banks although rarely for the right reasons.  The problem, in my case, wasn't smoking the ganja but rather working for the bank but that goes to the basic anti-corporate litany which doesn't need to be expounded further.

Jeff Sessions is just another tadpole swimming in an extremely large pond but he has no idea what else is in it.  He can't change his position since he's not capable of it and ordinarily the Rockhouse would admire that but he doesn't stand by principle and instead goes with Party dogma.  The only thing you can do with those ones is tie them to the turnbuckle for the mill and throw them hush puppies twice a day.

The Rockhouse doesn't much care about Jeff Session and it's not about personalties since he has no detectable personality.  He may even be too thickwitted to know he's just another Harry Anslinger 'droid.  (WIKI:  Harry J. Anslinger)

Harry Anslinger was the Father of Reefer Madness in the early 40s and that was the pitch marijuana makes black men insane for white women so protect your women and children.  Please, God, protect your women and children.

Naturally, the Rockhouse celebrates Anslinger's birthday every May 20th since anyone so satanically evil while remaining so deliciously contrite and self-righteous about it as surely a man among men ... or at least demons.

Searching for the Dodo But Only Finding Feathers

An anonymous benefactor requested implementation of the DONATE button I had posted on Ithaka at one time but was subsequently removed since I felt it was sleazy.  I don't mind and in fact I enjoy hustling for Code Pink but doing that for myself I found loathsome.

I said I would do it and subsequently remove it but there's a tiny problem since I can't find it.  That wasn't the stop since I did go to PayPal but the donate function is now well-hidden and I searched for references to donation within PayPal but came up dry.  I did give it a fair dinkum try, tho.

Another possibility is to put a GoFundMe ... but don't advertise it anywhere except here.  It's not my purpose to solicit a car or a boat or some such but it is to try to get along in a situation which is more difficult than I hope any of you ever finds for yourself.

So there's been feathers floating about but no Dodo so far.

The fundamental problem with using such a device is no gift is ever unencumbered although some may be less loaded than others.  There's no possible way I can ever repay any gift and, thus, my reluctance.

For my own defense in ever accepting anything, you can see, at least in the context of Ithaka, the Rockhouse never sells anything and has always given things away but without or not much encumbrance since whatever it was is still doing something good but somewhere else.  As with the anonymous benefactor, when something is given away like that there's no need to follow to see whatever became of it and the other end of that is a bank which will hunt you down with dogs if you take their money and don't give it back.

I'm not sure if I apologize or what for a deep moral repugnance for any kind of solicitation of that nature and that's specifically why I slam televangelists, etc.  Bring Jesus if you will but don't send me an invoice for it since I don't view that as a gift but a performance.  That's not a slam of preachers in general, only the ones who see a profitable windfall in that type of presentation.

That request will take a bit more review but maybe the GoFundMe is the fastest and easiest way to make that request happen.

Patreon was removed for generally the same reason since it's not only slutty but somewhat contrived insofar as there's some type of subscription involved in which you're pledging ongoing support but that's not acceptable since we're not looking for disciples but rather a bit of help sometimes.

More to come but I don't have a strong plan at the moment.  I will come up with something.

Atomic Bomb, Japan, and Racial Guilt #History

None of us had anything to do with dropping two atomic bombs on Japan but we are, oh, so guilty about it.  We feel a racial guilt which has nothing to do with skin color but rather with being American, every single one of us.

However, you are absolved, my brothers and sisters, because there is nothing wrong with what you did.  In fact, none of us were guilty, as Americans, since none of us were even there or had any part of it.

Absolution based on absentia may be a satisfactory legal device that's not the true basis for it since the Rockhouse sees no reason for assailing Einstein for the idea of the enormous power of nuclear energy nor Oppenheimer for seeing the idea and building it.  There was no fault nor foul in any of that and it was scientific evolution in America and the world.

Note 1:  the Rockhouse may use that #History tag for situations in which the presentation is based on unimpeachable recountings of history.

Note:  there's an adjunct to this in discussion of creative vs practical intelligence elsewhere in Ithaka but no need to flog that here except in the case study since Einstein represented the creative intelligence which came up with the idea and Oppenheimer brought the practical intelligence to make it happen which well shows the difference between pure and applied science.  There's no difference in IQ, mind power, or whatever; they only work in different ways.

In a war which saw the deaths of maybe thirty million people or more, the deaths of around one hundred thousand at Hiroshima were not even close to significant.  It was also not significant that most of those killed were civilians since that was the type of war waged by all sides in which the deaths of civilians wasn't just a manifestation of the euphemistic collateral damage but rather it was by design.

Back to the time men rode to war on horses, the object has been almost invariably to destroy the cities so this side will win.  That it happened again in Japan and Germany is not a surprise when, after all, Rome had been sacked over a thousand of years before.

We know from the Pacific War that many Japanese saw surrender as dishonorable and there were only two valid outcomes from combat since one is either victorious or killed by it.  Based on that knowledge, the Rockhouse suggests and has no trouble believing taking Japan on the ground on their homeland would have been one of the most horrific bloodbaths in human history.

The Rockhouse sees no shame for the conduct of that war since all it was defensive in terms of protecting against a scourge which rose over the world and it was clear there was no alternative to stop it or you will be next to fall to it.  There were various shames within it, even within the defenders, but those were not at all the policy of things for the defenders.

There was no dishonor in those who fought the war since the troops were ordered to do it and they knew they had no choice.  However, there has been steadily lessening honor in those who conduct the war from the top with some early evidence of that in Cornwallis and his dispatch of Tavington even when Cornwallis knew of the savagery and brutality the latter would bring.  That was the same Cornwallis who had decried the way Martin's militia had been targeting Redcoat officers since how will there be honor in a war if there are no officers to ensure it.

Historical accuracy:  on that aspect, the Rockhouse cannot validate the truth of it except generally and the talk with Cadillac Man did not get that far last night ... but it will another time.  Nevertheless, that example shall represent and it may be anecdotal or verbatim but there's not currently a way to validate that with absolute authenticity.

Nevertheless, the Rockhouse also absolves the American leadership of dishonor for giving the order to drop those bombs.

Note:  don't even try in the faintest way to extend this absolution to the genocidal extermination of Jews and some other minorities which the Rockhouse perceives as radically different from the overall conduct of the war.

America came out of World War II as a fount for integrity, generosity, and sacrifice which the country bore well after WWII since then it extended that reputation with the Marshall Plan in Europe to help those nations rebuild.  The Rockhouse is not aware of a similar plan directed toward China or Asia in general but that requires historical validation.  Nevertheless, the Marshall Plan was real and you saw how Germany ultimately flourished after the war as did Japan.

As reviewed with Cadillac Man, there was dishonor after the war and one specific example was the way Americans and Brits treated the Jews who were fleeing Europe in the hope of finding Sanctuary in the Middle East.  Despite protestations much later in Israel that Palestine never existed, the fact is Israel didn't until 1947.  Regardless of the future history, the conduct of the Brits and Americans in that context was appalling since many Jewish refugees were subsequently interned on, I believe, Cyprus so, in effect, they had substituted one prison camp for another although neither by any overt act or deed of their own.

The actual dishonor came later since America was in possession of the atomic bomb while no-one else was.  In the post-war, Russia built an atomic bomb as well and the reaction to that was the Continental Divide in the modern world history.

At this point, we need the subtext that it may be America's finest gift ever to the world in devising the system of checks and balances which prevents any aspect of the government from controlling or dominating any other and it also extends to maintaining peace in the world since there mustn't be any disturbance to the balance of power (i.e. the global checks and balances in which equal countries know they will only destroy each other in open combat).

My estimation of Harry Truman as a President is much lower than that of Cadillac Man since Truman committed, in the Rockhouse view, two of the worst fouls of any American President.  First, he authorized the initiation of aboveground nuclear testing rather than engaging with the Soviets (at that time) to build a balanced peace.  That failing has been extended to disastrous proportion through to the modern time.

Truman also authorized the CIA and he realized his mistake even before the end of his administration but he didn't stop it.  Eisenhower saw that as well insofar as he was well aware the relentless military buildup in the postwar was a major mistake but he didn't stop it or the CIA either.

The one who carries, more than any other, the nuclear guilt of the world is Edward Teller since he took the concept of the A-bomb which had been used on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and devised from that the H-bomb which is vastly more powerful.  Teller not only built that evil bomb but actively advocated for its use and consequent annihilation of any semblance of a balance of power in the world.  (WIKI:  Edward Teller)

Teller promoted increased defense spending to counter the perceived Soviet missile threat. He was a signatory to the 1958 report by the military sub-panel of the Rockefeller Brothers funded Special Studies Project, which called for a $3 billion annual increase in America's military budget.

- WIKI

The same circumstance has not changed since America's purpose has been to dominate rather than establish a stable balance of power to ensure peace in a world which would be loving if it ever got a chance to show it.

The CIA was an enormous part of that drive for domination and proceeded through all manner of insidious means to facilitate that even when it defied any honor, sensibility, or sense of reason.

Note:  I'm not going to trundle out again the citations on that since the abominations committed by the CIA are well-documented with one of the earliest being the assassination of Salvador Allende in Chile in 1963.

Just as Truman failed to recognize the necessity for the balance of power even when he knew or should have known the fundamental importance of checks and balances in American government, people have extended that failure to the modern situation and the reason that happened is Washington has been steadily undermining any checks against unrestrained growth of the military.

The Rockhouse has also made that point multiple times and there's no reason to do it again since the interested student can readily observe America has been pouring over half of America's tax gold onto the military ever since Reagan and without any serious diminution during that period since actually it was the opposite and Reagan become kind of the odd chicken out for wanton military buildup when much more followed him.

The theme of this piece isn't so much an admonition regarding America behaving badly since you know already.  There was a bit of discrepancy with Cadillac Man regarding the Russians being so militaristic but the Rockhouse submits America tries to make them look like amateurs in militarism since it spends vastly more than Russia, China, or the sum of many of the world's biggest military spenders.

The Rockhouse further submits the deliberate destruction of the checks and balances required to ensure the integrity of the government was to steadily chisel them away to permit that unrestrained growth but We the People did not do that since much of it was surreptitious background skullduggery which, like many things in modern Washington, sought to subvert the checks and balances inherent and required in American democracy.

In closing, the Rockhouse sees no foul in the American people although some own a fairly large part of it in advocating for that strong military government while simultaneously decrying the power of a strong central government.  That aspect is logically unstable and obviously so.

Nevertheless, the overwhelming drive toward the destruction of the checks and balances has originated in Washington and typically in the dark.  There is no intention here to pitch any idea of a deep state since we reject that categorically when peeling back the layers of the onion will reveal the rotten core of it which is the CIA smelling like rotting cabbage in a sewer.

The Rockhouse therefore submits there was no dishonor in using that atomic bomb and the use of it likely did save many lives.  That takes us back to the Truman and hopefully that was the biggest mistake America will ever make since we won't survive one any worse than that.  There is no doom and gloom in that since if there's anything worse than a nuke war then we know we might as well kiss our invisible rabbits goodbye.

Note:  some may not believe Henrietta the Giant Invisible Rabbit is here with me but, mates, you will just have to take that one on rabbit faith.

If you care to continue this with a comedy twist, there's Ithaka:  The Perfect Politics of the Duchy of Grand Fenwick

The comedy in "The House that Roared" is dark since the premise is the best thing which can happen to a country is to engage in a war with America and immediately lose so no-one gets hurt.  The logic is America shows its largesse to any place it has defeated and therefore losing to America is the next best thing to Christmas.

The failing in their plan as with "The Producers" was Grand Fenwick won the war which was, at once, a success and a failure so they didn't get anything and the entire story is dark in that way but quite funny.

Then There Was Cadillac Man with a Most Interesting Vibe

Going to the history of things is inevitable with Cadillac Man when he's particularly well-versed in American history and he said he has learned some things from me but that both goes ways since I learn quite a bit from talking about with him.

One thing off the top I borked about "The Patriot" is the French Revolution was after the American Revolution whereas I had thought it was the other way around.  There was the question of France since there was the magical appearance in "The Patriot" when it seemed like they showed up at Yorktown just in time to save the day and, thus, the Revolution.  That got into the drivers behind why France came in the first place since there was quite a bit of fomentation of Revolution in France as well.

I was aware of Robespierre and his influence on Jefferson's thinking but the Marquis de Lafayette was known only by his name.  The more or less contemporaneous pushing away of the nobility in some ways fed each other's movements.  The flaw (or not) with revolutions is the ones who fight it are rarely the ones who lead it and that can result in out with the bad air and in with new bad air.

However, the principles behind fighting the Revolutions in question were generally the same insofar as the aristocracy is dead ... even though history shows it really wasn't since the ones who ran America were the rich.

That brought up a bit on pacifism since he said if something is hurting someone I love then some whackin' needs to happen.  He felt that sold out his pacifistic determination but I disagree since that's part of the standard way the military tries to crack conscientious objectors.  You say you will not kill but what will you do if your wife is attacked?

The question is disingenuous since almost anyone on the planet will reach for a tomahawk in the face of that but it has nothing whatever to do with killing someone to order.

That view of pacifism is different from Gandhi's position since one is never permitted to be violent.  For me, that's the Ideal and it's probably impossible to get to that stage since I could not promise I would remain nonviolent in that circumstance even if I get whacked from doing it.  However, getting whacked by it may satisfy the Gandhian requirement insofar as my whackage may bring the oppressor to the awareness of what he has done and Yevette consequently survives.  It's fanciful that she would but she might.

The reason that has validity is in the context of altruistic suicide and which is something observed through the study of baboon ethology.  There's a terrible risk of getting anthropomorphic about this so the behavior observed is the guardian baboon(s) may observe some large predator and will attack it.  They get croaked but the troop escapes.

Perhaps that's a deliberate suicide since they must know they have no chance and they will die but maybe also it's a genetic toggle and it flips when they see to Large, Mean, Toothy Thing and the genes are program them to kill it.  However, if the latter is true then why don't all of them attack.  I had an article about baboon ethology I was considering posting but I thought it was too strange so I deferred but I kind of wish I hadn't chucked it now.

The subject of a schism between the bloods came up and he didn't see it as so surprising since I have no compromise path which permits the things they support and it's unacceptable to the others if I do not support them.  The love is real but I'm still the Undead and that's a sadness all around but there's no way anyone will conform to any other and that's not stubbornness but adherence to principle on both sides.  There probably isn't a good resolution but I will say this much ... no-one will wave the flag harder than I when people bring the troops back home and that will be for the troops and also for the ones who brought them back.

That went into creative vs practical intelligence which was the theme for a couple of articles and that may have seemed like pointed spitefulness but the reality is the one group cannot survive without the other so there's no differentiation of whether one is better than the other when they don't even do the same things.

I can make cloud castles which fill the sky and it was my stock in trade during the last part of my career but in the real world I can barely fix a toilet.  I could give every tiniest detail of the castle I built to those who can build it and they will.  That's what I did for a living.

The converse with practical intelligence is it's not only thing they can fix since likely they can fix fuckin' anything.  For those with that intelligence, I can describe all the bits in my castle and the practical intelligence will take a look and maybe say, yep, I can build that and they really can.  There's no denigration of anyone's intelligence; they're just different in what they do.

Above all of it is one type can't survive without the other and ideally there is symbiosis.

There was a lot more but that seems an accurate telling of the positions on things and there was almost no discussion of political personalities except in the context of Alexander Hamilton who really doesn't get a whole lot of credit for the many things he did but Cadillac Man tells me he was instrumental in getting the first water system built for New York.  That goes to an extension on the same subject of aging infrastructure but that origin was novel for me.

Hat tip from the Colonel to Cadillac Man for a cool vibe and this Colonel isn't military since he just likes writing poems.

Note:  I know I have something I said I would do but the Silas also the Colonel is knackered and time for some horizontal.  Definitely on the next bounce.
