A general pessimism is inevitable with conservatives relentlessly trying to destroy everything in sight.  One challenged that this morning so we asked if the GOP is not trying to destroy the Affordable Care Act, Social Security, Medicare, Postal Service, etc. etc.  The response was 'do you want America to become a welfare state and end up like Greece?'

Well ...

The only content to the above is the tacit admission that it is the GOP's intention to destroy those programs but the fact of it is they have been trying ever since the 1940's and you see the bird is still standing.   In fact, it's stronger than it ever was and when it burns it will be magnificent.

The waste of it is the unfortunate aspect as the GOP is clear in its destructiveness but it hardly ever offers anything of any substance as an alternative.  If there's something better than the Affordable Care Act then roll it out for review such that it can be debated purposefully rather than the endlessly obstructive measures which are taken today.  The GOP has tried to repeal the ACA at least fifty times and demonstrated nothing so much as stubbornness and incompetence.

Here at the Rockhouse, we believe the Affordable Care Act is a complete waste of paper and ink but any mention of the alternative is met with screams from the GOP that it's socialism and a demon from Satan.  In fact, it's all socialism as the first job of the tribe is keeping the tribe alive.  The individual can't afford a personal x-ray machine so, what do you know, the state buys lots of them.

Some are and some aren't.  It makes no difference as it all comes out of the same general pot.  Keeping the tribe alive costs 'x' amount of dollars for any given year and the only useful function served by any of the insurance companies is in the compilation of actuarial tables which have become fairly accurate for predicting those costs.

Where the GOP goes berserk is in chucking the insurance companies for anything more than that function.  Once it's known how much medicine will cost the country for the year, you know how much the tax has to be so pay it and be done with it.

That sure is some extreme socialism when the people in the capitalist model who actually do the work are the ones who get paid and the parasites in the middle get cut out of it.  Insurance against something we know we will happen is so aggressively stupid we have no word.

Ten thousand Americans will have heart attacks this year.  We know that before the year even starts so what's it likely to cost to deal with that in the best way possible.  The estimation of cost is important.  The estimation of risk is a farce and an extremely expensive one.  It doesn't matter who has the heart attack as the treatment is presumably the same for anyone or this society is even sicker than it seems already.

The model I suggest really will work and you know that because it's simple.  It will really piss off the insurance companies but society owes them nothing.  They're just businesses and they come and go.  The GOP isn't fighting for better medicine, it's fighting to keep companies the country doesn't need.  It's one of the largest examples of corporate welfare in the system.

What Else Does Sabrina Corgatelli Do

When Sabrina Corgatelli isn't paying African guides for sex and help in killing giraffes, what else does she do.

Note:  the African guides are not actually African but rather are Americans who murdered their wives and ran off to countries which have no agreements on extradition to the U.S.  They discovered they could sell their bodies to rich American playgirls and they could sell the lions to anyone who came around. It was a gravy situation all around.


Trouble with Ms Corgatelli is she couldn't get laid on a bet before she started shooting animals.  It's easy to screw hunters because they're dirty, smelly, and disgusting so other women want nothing to do with them.  When she discovered this, she couldn't rattle her cup against the cell bars loudly enough.  Check it out, I am one animal-killin' woman.  In English that means I'm horny as a goat and will screw anything so long as it's relatively-warm and has been recently-breathing.


She's not the same case as Walter Palmer as he will go to any length to prove he is a man while making a total fool of himself in the process.  For him I have no sympathy and would like to watch him die slowly in quicksand.  I'm somewhat more sympathetic to Corgatelli as she's obviously damaged and in much the same way but she's driven more by gonads than malice.  That doesn't excuse what she does, it just makes it more pitiful.

In some messages she has sent, she has said this will really piss you off.  In fact, she doesn't piss me off at all but instead creates an overwhelming sadness over her desperation.  Is it really that hard to get a date.  Do you have to kill these magnificent creatures to prove you are worthy.  (Answer: yes)

Distinguishing American Cops from Frogs - Darren Wilson Edition

With eyes revealing no more capacity for thought than how to catch flies with his tongue, this one is obviously a frog.  He looks a lot like one of my nephews.  Maybe he is my nephew.  Therefore, I also am a frog.

Don't worry about his survival despite the amphibian die-offs in the world as Republicans gave him a ton of money for killing Michael Brown.  That wasn't racist, however.  It's only racist when a black guy kills a white guy.  It's protecting law and order when cops kill black guys.  Based on the records for 2015, cops have killed thirty times as many people as have killed them so their claims of mistreatment are just a wee bit exaggerated.  About thirty cops have been killed this year as contrasted by almost seven hundred civilians who have been killed by cops.  In that perspective, being a cop is dangerous like making ice cream.

Just like a frog, he's trying to get a job as cop somewhere else so he can shoot someone else and cash in again.  He made about a half a million (as of a year ago) on shooting Michael Brown and even the KKK doesn't offer a bounty like that on shooting black guys.  He works for the GOP instead of the KKK as the job is the same but the GOP pays better.

And here's the beauty part: this piece of shit blames his mother because she was such a thief.  Just like a slimy ass frog to do that.  (CNN:  Former Ferguson cop Darren Wilson opens up about his life in seclusion)


There are lots of symp postings on the net about good cops but it's not clear why people waste my time with this crap.  If there were good cops, they wouldn't put up with the bad cops.  Serpico was fifty years ago.  He was a good cop.

The Making of ...

"Hotel Serengeti 2100" was a novel exercise because I didn't play any of the music or shoot any of the video.

Update:  it's not completely true to say I did not 'play' anything as the voice is really me even if highly modified.  The regulars know I can play the instruments and shoot the video but for this one that was not my choice.  Plus I have Tobey the Dog but no lions here.


The music is mine as I made the song but the technique was one of using loops and samples.  There's all sorts of editorial spew to be thrown on that approach but we can get straight past that to all that matters:  you like how it sounds or you don't.

The reviews on a roll are Yevette liked the song but not the vocal, Cat liked the song but not the video, I was surprised I liked the song and for me the video made it complete.


There are some legal matters with the video as I got it the GOP way ...

Yup.

We think it's probably ok as the photographer is properly credited and we doubt he would be offended because the videos are not at all the same and I did not modify the appearance of any of his work.  The video was sliced as I needed for timing but nothing else was done to it.  In my view, altering its appearance would make it seem I try to call it my own.

If there's a take-down order for the video, that's fair enough.  It's not likely, tho.


There's a segment which tries to show a view of what the Serengeti would look like if it were built up like Dubai, my idea of the most horrendously ostentatious, pointless and offensive architectural and sociological horror on the planet.  The picture was modified slightly to add TRUMP as a sign on one of the secondary hotels.

The reason was character assassination and that comes through the following:

- it associates Trump with a crime he did not commit (i.e. killing Cecil)

- it accuses Trump of a crime he will commit ... but did not commit yet (i.e. turning the Serengeti into a golf course)


There are some regrets to the edit as the last part shows a good many lions taking it easy but, as cats will, their first thought is to take a nap.  It almost looks like they all drop out as if in a gas attack in the James Bond movie, "Goldfinger."  I was thinking it looked relaxed and charming but after it was online I thought, fark, what if some kid sees that and thinks they croaked.

So that's why I don't look at them too much after they're finished as I'll always see more things I could have done.

Biggest Boob of a Cop on the Planet Has Been Located

Ng Lai-ying's chest bumped the right arm of policeman Chan Ka-Po during a crowded protest against mainland Chinese border traders in March. The sentencing was to three and a half months in prison for "assaulting a police officer" with her breast.  (CNN:  'Breasts are not weapons,' say Hong Kong protesters)

There wasn't sufficient detail to determine if Officer Chan Ka-Po was physically injured by the offending breast or suffered some other type of injurious psychological trauma if he believed his life was threatened.  There's also the potential for post-traumatic shock disorder from the memory of the traumatizing breast.  Woody Allen made this movie decades ago.  Now it lives.

This may be the first recorded case of prosecution for boob assault and we think there should be more of it, not the prosecution but boob assaults.  The complexion of civilization would change when the consequence of any given behavior may be a woman will commit a boob assault.  In some cases, you may welcome the assault but, as with the tragic case of Officer Chan Ka-Po, in others your life may be ruined by it.

We can meet outside to scan the skies for the comet which will end life on the planet, all with the same thought:  please send it.

Trophy Hunters Paid For It and Will Kill What We Want

The general premise is none of the animals would survive if not for the money fed into big game preserves by hunters.  There would be no money to protect the land, protect against poachers, etc, etc.  Therefore, hunters should be able to shoot whatever they want as they paid for it anyway.  (Duluth News Tribune:  Other View: Those trophy hunters pay for game reserves)


If it were true the interest is animal conservation, the funds to do it would not come with the condition you reserve the right to kill anything.  Animal conservation is through culling the weakest, not the strongest.

Regardless, if it is not the will of the world to fund the game preserves then the animals will die and so goes evolution, negative as it may be.  That hunters contribute funds to prevent that loss does not magically impart righteousness to something which is fundamentally immoral:  killing animals for amusement.


If you want to talk about animal conservation then do it and get that done.

If you want to talk about trophy hunting then do it straight-up.  I like to kill animals and chop off their fuckin' heads to put on my wall.

If you want to mix the two as if they have anything to do with one another, you're shadow dancing with a dictionary which may make you feel clever but you're still a monster who kills for pleasure.
