Some of you old geezers saw Europe during the Cold War and know Admiral Shavetail is just talking through her Pentagon wig.
Navy Admiral Michelle Howard, who heads NATO's Allied Joint Force Command in Naples and commands US naval forces in Europe and Africa, claimed that the current Russian deployments are unheard-of.
"We're seeing activity that we didn't even see when it was the Soviet Union. It's precedential activity," Howard told Reuters.

Who can forget the big fun and wild hi jinks when the Soviet Union rolled tanks to quell dissent anywhere in half a dozen countries as that was kind of like the way Obama oppressed OWS too. Maybe that's where he learned it.

Howard was born in March Air Reserve Base, California, U.S., the daughter of former U.S. Air Force master sergeant, Nick Howard, and his British wife, Phillipa. She is a 1978 graduate of Gateway High School in Aurora, Colorado. She graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1982 and from the U.S. Army’s Command and General Staff College in 1998 with a Masters in Military Arts and Sciences.
