Sachina Prajapati, 11, does her homework at a temporary shelter in Bhaktapur
Photograph: Narendra Shrestha/EPA
There were so many photographs before this one of violence all over the world and I don't know why she has to live in a temporary shelter but hopefully it's not for long.
The surprising use of color in this picture lends more life to a bleak, corrugated iron existence. The small amount of light she gets is enough to do her work. That light plus the effect of the color of the mosquito net make a sweet ambience. This photograph is a treasure in the Rockhouse estimation.
