I know nothing about Bonfire so what do you guess, rock or schlock?
The song sounds like a credible rendition of formula rock and the delivery is excellent with ballsy tone and vibe.
But
The lyrics range from banal to complete shit.
Wait for someone to come in near the end as harmony and who knows what key he tried but it wasn't this song.
It's not scream rock nor progressive or any kind of alt. I'm hearing traditional rock played by people who weren't even born yet.
Under God's eyes
we are all the same
- Bonfire
WTF? They're either a really sorry Christer band or the writer should consider remaining an instrumentalist.
The Rockhouse doesn't question of the truth of the lyrics but rather it ... is ... so ... fucking ... obvious.
Yep, the Rockhouse takes another strike with Bonfire just like with Crystal Castles the other day. Sometimes they're going to suck but must listen to know.
Note: Crystal Castles was almost entirely electronic with heavy dark eye make-up and, well, Bonfire was not that. Either way, it came out the same.
