The first refuge of a substandard President is blaming the predecessor for your mistakes and, sure enough, Donald Trump said Michael Flynn's failing was Obama's fault just as Obama blamed his heartless escalation of Middle East conflict on George Bush who, in turn, blamed his on the Tin Man from "The Wizard of Oz."

The inspector general of the Department of Defense also opened an investigation of Flynn earlier this month, according to an April 11 letter released by the oversight committee Thursday.
