"Copkiller" was in your face protest about cop violence in the inner city. Whether you accept the protest is your choice but the statement was made and, as with most music, if it's not protesting something then it's probably wasting your time. Therefore, "Copkiller" was a valid protest even if you do not accept the content of it.
(Ed: we going off on another thrilling tour of cop violence?)
Nope. The point is freedom since the original objection to rap music was largely racist, as it has been with objection to a variety of forms of music. 'Nigger music' is what many said Elvis gave you. This sort of racial bullshit in music is a total load of crap as musicians are generally the least racist of anyone you will find. The only thing to matter to us is whether you can make the groove.
(Ed: so what?)
It may seem that busting on rap in the next article is racist. It's not. The Young SFBs across the street are not black. Race has nothing to do with it as it's just a Loud Fucking Noise.
Note: I have set up a loop here so it's blasting and then have walked around outside to see how much escapes ... not much. What they're doing across the street rattles the windows in the house from the front to the back, it's a whole different thing, and that's what makes them Young SFBs.
