The reason for the focus on Lindsey Buckingham and Mark Knopfler is they're likely the best of the guitarists who play rock using a finger-picking technique. The majority of rock guitarists or even any electric guitarists use a flat pick which is some type of plastic. The sounds and the styles of play are not at all the same so guitarists usually go one way the other. Usually those who are good with a finger-picking technique do at least well with flat picking as well.
Lotho is a personal friend of Mark Knopfler and he told me that after he met the band during a concert in Cincinnati; I think at Bogart's on Vine Street. Who knows what they call it now but there has been big music coming out of there since the mid-70's. Prior to that it was the Inner Circle and I think there was music in there at that time was well. He asked us several times what we wa ted to hear since we had a front row table and were only about 5 feet from him Very cool night

I don't want to get too much wrapped into nostalgia but it seems ok if it's not 'gee, there we were in the moonlight.' There was some funny stuff and they're historical documents for some on Facebook.
