Abortion Beat Goes On

While discussion of this and/or the death penalty draws all kinds of hits, my interest is in writing and specifically not things that have been written at least a billion times already ... but one more pass at it.

Whether anyone does or does not agree with me is the prerogative of that individual.  Gandhi can believe as he likes except for the unfortunate aspect of being dead.  In any case, Gandhi wasn't a prophet.  In fact, he started out as an attorney.  Muhammed started out as a warrior and then became a pedophile before he was regarded as a prophet (shrugs).

As a man, I don't believe I have any right to tell a woman what to do about a decision on abortion unless she asks me.  It is my firm belief it is a woman's right to choose.

I do not believe that right extends into the third trimester of the pregnancy but that's moot as most countries don't support that anyway.

I have no problem with an abortion in the first trimester.  Whether Gandhi supported that is irrelevant and I shouldn't have shot off on a tangent with it.  My opinions are my own.

As to the death penalty even Cat doesn't agree with me fully as I would not have even executed Hitler.  It would have been my preference to send him to Spandau to bark at the moon just like Hess.  Charlie Manson was terrifying when he went into jail but twenty years later he was just the fool who had nothing more to say than "there's plenty of sex in jail."
