Hat Tip to the U.S. Marines

Philippines got whacked hard by the cyclone and it's estimated ten thousand people died on one island alone.  It's probably much worse and right now people have no food or water.

But ...

The U.S. Marines have landed at Tacloban, one of the cities known to have been hardest-hit.  They are coming in with C130 transport aircraft to help.  (The Guardian:  Aid efforts begin after typhoon Haiyan kills 10,000 in Philippines – Sunday's developments)

This is people at their best.  Outstanding.
