Euros don't see much of tornadoes. In fact, they don't see tornadoes at all. I'm not sure where you get them outside of America but only the west coast of America doesn't see them too much; they can turn up just about anywhere else although the really big ones are in the middle of the country. The one in the video definitely qualifies as a really big one and even the storm chasers don't often get this close. The areas where the tornado touched were absolutely demolished and people were killed by it.
The video was shot by Anthony Khoury who was with his family and there was nothing to do but pray so they prayed a lot. If there's no basement or storm cellar then usually the best thing is to get into a bathtub but that doesn't help much when the whole family is there.

This is probably as close as you ever want to get. There was no risk here in Fort Worth as Illinois is a good distance north of here but Fort Worth got nailed, right in its downtown area, by a tornado some years ago.
