Before Tim Tebow's Photo Ops, America Had Real Religion

The Franklin Chapel Baptist Church is not so many miles from Nashville, TN, where it's surrounded by dense trees and really isn't that close to anywhere.  It's just a small church but these are the ones which brought religion to America in the first place.  That it only means photo ops and making a display of himself to Tim Tebow is not at all representative of what these little churches do and the picture is to show you the real ones are still alive and well.

It's a glory time on Sundays because the parishioners do dress up in their Sunday finest and the church provides the place for them come together, just as these small churches have done since colonial times.  There's obviously no respect for Tim Tebow but I love the people who go here since they don't make a show of anything.  They believe and they come together for the love of it.

If this is what religion had remained in America, it would be a much better place.

It is a very cool church. It never gets very big. Each time the congregation gets to big for the building, they build a new church and split. Which is just like the model Paul envisioned during his travels.

I've loved that place ever since I first saw it because this is the real thing and it just radiates sincerity.
