I'm guilty (larfs). Trae Crowder is one major fireball and don't even think about underestimating him.
I'm not entirely ignorant of the South but I damn sure know they're not all stupid. Texas isn't really South but Tennessee is more North while definitely more southern and I've lived in both places. Mostly Texas isn't the South because Texas doesn't identify with anywhere but Texas.
I disagree with some of what he says but I sure love that he says it. The cultural contribution in the Muscle Shoals southern rock bands is negligible but Dixie also gave the world Dixieland jazz. Generally jazz is derived from African rhythms but Dixieland is something almost unique.
However, Louisiana also gave America the Angola prison which is widely regarded as the worst in the country and is said to represent institutionalized slavery. Dixie has a curious mix of people since some are massively opposed to Angola but good luck getting rid of it.
