Google implemented a feature through which comments made on Google+ will appear on the blog. In the description of it there was the impression that this would give the best of both worlds in that people could comment as they have plus Google+ comments would appear as well. However, the way it actually works is that all comments have to come in via Google+ which means you would have to set up a Google+ profile before you could comment.
I consider these types of strong-arm tactics unacceptable and have reverted the commenting method back to the way it was.
