It would have been cool to go to a wedding tomorrow but pajamas won't do it for that. Being fashionably unfashionable suits me just fine but that wouldn't be funny at a wedding. They're beautiful people and I hope it's a lovely day for everyone.
I'll be playing at BluesFabrik for Zaphod Enoch and he's cut over to Avination altogether. He got so fed-up with the way Second Life finances are handled that he pulled up his entire kit and moved everything to Avination. I'm happy to go over there to play for him and I've been looking forward to this for quite a while now.
"Things That Love Makes" will definitely be back tomorrow, in part to see if I can even do it again. Part of it is to start out playing the bit on the keys but to have the bass around my neck instead of the guitar. That will make switching instruments much faster in building a loop, etc, etc.
A big part of the song is just enjoying the sound of the guitar ... as opposed to demonstrating massive technical skill. A lot of that was from total confirmation that the Galaxy Guitar really isn't sick anymore. The Lady is definitely back. There's a lot of repetition and long sustained notes in it and that's definitely enjoying that I can do something twice and it will sound the same both times. It's such an enormous thing for me to hear a note now where it hangs right where it is supposed to be and doesn't go wandering off to find walnuts or something.
Cat probably knows she's a Muse but she still doesn't believe it. The evidence is pretty obvious in that she truly loves music and needs it as much as she needs bones to hold her together. She has surrounded herself with musicians and does every nutritive thing she can imagine to support what all of us do. More than the support, she brings the vibe of how much she loves and appreciates music and this inspires more music in those who meet her. Yah, she's a Muse alright.
