1972 is the year I got out of the Army after a singularly undistinguished period of enlistment. And so began one of the most ferocious stoner binges of all human history. I couldn't even count or guess at all the concerts we attended and during that period one of the theme songs came from "Mott the Hoople." It all lasted eight or nine years and then all the young dudes decided to get respectable. When I get the time travel machine, that's the first time I will stop to tell myself, NOOOOO, do not do this. Respectability is a very bad idea and is hardly ever true.
