Christmas Eve is my ol' Dad's birthday. He's been croaked for some years now but it's still his birthday. I have no idea of the days my parents died but their birthdays are clear to me.
As children we were such greedy little bastards that we didn't think of anything but Christmas and we would blow right past his birthday. For quite a while we didn't even know it was his birthday.
Much as we would forget his birthday when we were young, none of us ever forget it now that he's gone.
I don't know if any of us ever bought him Aqua Velva for Christmas. I hope not.
