Someone Saved Its Life Tonight

It is only a computer but my online existence, my music and my videos all die if it does so saving its life is a Very High Value.

Second Life puts very high demands on a computer, particularly a wimpy little laptop, and high demands mean high heat which consequently means premature computer heat death.  That's what kills more Windows machines than anything else as any flapjack can build and sell them but not every flapjack knows how to manage the airflow through the case to keep them cool.  They overheat, they die.

The Coolerguys Dual 80mm USB Cooling Fans go for $15.75 and have solved the overheating problem.  The laptop is raised by a couple of paperbacks, one by Edgar Cayce and the other by Anne McAffrey.  Both fans are placed behind the computer to blow forward underneath it.

Ordinarily, going into Second Life means the computer's fans will spin up almost immediately.  Now the computer remains cool and the fans are not doing anything.  This computer isn't worth much now but it would be well over a grand to replace it.  When fifteen bucks can prevent that, down here in the Fort Worth Rock House we call that Very High Value.

The test was so unremarkable that it didn't even awaken Charlie.

She did perk up for just a minute, tho

but then she went back to sleep.  She's a cat, it's what they do.

Charlie is my Christmas gift from Cat and do expect to see her on my shoulder if I play.

(Ed:  I thought she was Samantha?)

No, Samantha is the Old Cute Name as Samantha is the one who knocked one of my guitars out of the stand which broke the neck.  For some twisted reason I loved her anyway but the Big Cat Love was with Charlie in Greece ... at least until those French catnappers beguiled her.  Bribe her with better food.  What a cheap trick!
