Chelsea Manning and Her Saga of Transgender Awareness

The Saga of Chelsea Manning has the potential to be the greatest story ever told in transgender awareness and the struggle against immense difficulty.  Every possible block has been put in her way and yet she persevered in defining who she really is.

Whether I agree with transgender or it even makes sense to me is irrelevant since she's an adult and it makes sense to her.  The telling of her story could be a human rights, struggle against adversity marvel, and hopefully it won't languish as just another rubbishy reality show.  The telling needs to be done much better than that.

Ed:  are you seriously grubbing for money after all the shit she has been through?

Not me, Mac.  I hope she makes millions on a book / movie deal and, get this, how about if she stars in it for the last section when she comes out all feminine as much as she likes.

Ed:  you're getting Hollywood with something which must have held unimaginable suck for her with almost no chance of ever getting out of prison alive.

Negatory, Mac.  Options will come to her and she must choose wisely.

Ed:  her story is much more than about transgender

Yes and the elements of government corruption and military malfeasance can't be ignored.  Her situation and her story are unique.

It may be her choice to go entirely underground and why not after the publicity she has received.  She will go back to Maryland to her family and a tight group of supporters.  Perhaps it's her choice to stay there and out of the light but the important thing is the choice she never had.  If she will come out, she will need an agent she can trust implicitly.

This is a second plug since I'm pleased as punch to see she will be released and again now that someone has set up a GoFundMe to welcome her home.

Ed:  why should I contribute if she will make millions anyway?

Because she may choose to walk away from all of that.  The point is to ensure she has the freest choice she has ever known.
