"Be Deutsch!" by NeoMagazinRoyale and Jan Böhmermann is one of the most profoundly beautiful, if heavily profane, statements of peace, honesty and human rights one might ever hope to hear and some may perceive an irony in hearing this message from Germany but, in the modern world, that's the first place I would expect to hear it.
It's not just talk as Merkel accepted a million or more refugees into Germany before PEGIDA caused so many problems she had to stop. In Germany, Merkel is a moderate conservative and (cough) even they are nice which shows this is not simply a manifestation of pie-eyed hippies ... although we were right all along.
There were multiple points in the song in which my eyes got misty with the thinking, 'of course. This is what we always wanted here too.'
Listen for a sound like Rammstein in "Be Deutsch!" but not as hard-core. Also don't listen for German because it's not there. The song was recorded specifically for you ... or we, as the fully-actualized like to think.
