There's no clear estimate on how long I have had these headphones beyond ... lotta years. They're not looking too much downtown these days but the sound from them is perfect.
Even after a lotta years, they still go for the same price at $100 but don't run out for them too quickly since they also have an HD 380 Pro model now for $150 and they appear to be collapsible for storage. The sound quality is likely as good or better and they may be lighter. I find the HD 280 pro can get feeling heavy after a while.
Note: in comparison reviews, the HD 280 Pro kills the Bose QuietComfort 15's and and easily defeats Beats by Doctor Dre as well. (Specout: Comparison)
Standard advisory: you probably won't blow out your ears with the mains but you can easily do it with headphones. Be careful out there as you won't like tinnitus.
