Going to Prom Dressed as the Red Inner Tube for a Truck Tire

This is more like it. Pharrell’s jeans are by Comme des Garçons. They are ripped; they say REI across them in what looks like biro. Some would say that they are not appropriate red carpet attire. Or are they? I mean, they really make you think, don’t they? Particularly when paired with Helen Lasichanh’s proper catwalk Comme des Garçons look, a red dress with an oversized silhouette that brings to mind both Queen Elizabeth I and the Teletubbies’ Po, a pair of references that are not meshed together enough

Well, that was written by someone whose fingers should be broken any time they near a keyboard.

Um, no, they don't make me think; they make me laugh in derision at some rich fool who dresses like he's a pauper.  The outfit for the girl looks like a red inner tube for a truck tire.  That's the kind of outfit Terry Gilliam could have used for "Brazil" and the fashion of the future.

The Sixties already burned up the fashion outrage although we haven't seen the return of the topless outfits.  That was too, too trendy for a time.  They represented fashion genius since you could pay more and get less.  It was brilliant.

If your purpose is to defy convention then get it done and show up naked instead of dancing around with this ridiculous bullshit.
