A Florida Pilot Demonstrates the Finest in Piloting Professionalism

We don't know if the pilot was a man or a woman and, frankly, we don't care since whomever was flying did a superlative job of bringing this aircraft safely to the ground.  Maybe you're not willing to give this pilot the Sully Prize but the Rockhouse will definitely do it.  Hat tip to the pilot on a job well done.

The pilot almost certainly knew the aircraft was going to spin as soon as the failing wheel stub touched the ground and the landing was perfectly executed insofar as that stub was kept off the runway until the aircraft had lost much of its speed.  It was brilliant work.

Note:  this aircraft is not just some Cessna 150 but a private jet aircraft ... and one with an excellent pilot.

Even if you don't recognize Cessna 150, you have seen them countless times since it's one of the most successful private aircraft models ever built.  It's the single-prop aircraft with an overhead wing and they have incredible versatility plus they're relatively inexpensive.

However, to no surprise at all, the landing was not an example of textbook precision but rather swashbuckling bravado.  (RT:  Brave pilot makes gutsy emergency landing in Florida after losing 1 wheel (VIDEOS))

Modern Journalism ... all Hollywood, all the time.

Did you ever see Sully strutting about with Tom Cruise sunglasses and a Pepsodent smile.

Right.  Me either.  These pilots aren't Hollywood at all.

Outstanding work, Pilot.
