Too Much Overcast for Perseids in Fort Worth

This isn't entirely a surprise after the mixed-up forecasts for the week but there was the hope of some luck ... but not tonight.

All my life I've stalked the hundred-meteors-an-show meteor show and tonight could have been it.  I've not read a description of how it went but everything leading up to it was sounding excellent.

The magic word is 'fireballs' as these are the ones which go all the way across the sky, throwing off burning bits all the way.  They are fantastic to see that this Perseids season was said to be a good one to see them.

We hope it was.  We couldn't see them here but we hope someone saw them somewhere.
