Jason Chaffetz has never risked being an accused of an original idea and he has now offered the latest spin on the legend of welfare Cadillac owners in America. You know America, right? That's where the streets are paved with gold and even the people on welfare drive Cadillacs. That's a favorite myth in America and it's been playing for decades. (CNN: Chaffetz: Low-income Americans will have to choose health care over iPhones)
Chaffetz still pitches the idea of the impressive overall largesse of the poor but it's in a slightly more modern context now since he says poor people will have to choose between their iPhones and their medical care.
Do y'all wanna rumble because I came here to rumble. I'll teach you not to fuck with the Sharks. (WIKI: West Side Story)
Ed: why, no, that wasn't racist, was it!
Yes, it was ... but you might not know it if you're not aware the Sharks gang was made up of Puerto Ricans so it doesn't appear racist on the surface but it's definitely racist underneath.
The suits always ensure there's no-one around who can call bullshit on their racist stunting since the implication in almost every word about welfare is that most recipients are black and it's not true. They have learned over the years how to make their words imply the racism rather than saying it directly and they continue getting away with instilling that evil thinking.
How it really goes and I know many poor people, none of whom are having any kind of easy time with the medical system and it's a significant part of the cause or at least continuation of the poverty for a great many.
- I don't know of anyone who owns an iPhone except the Texas Tallboy and, what do you know, he's not on any kind of public assistance as he's been working for years
- Any cellphones in use at this level will usually be the el cheapo flip phones which often will not work inside a house and we use those because they're inexpensive plus they usually come with plans for about $25 a month but I refuse because of the cost
- One of our number has an Obama phone and this as a result of some program he supported to get phones into the hands of poor people
Jason Chaffetz doesn't manifest evidence of any awareness of reality in America but that's not his purpose. He's not selling reality but rather a packaged product.
