Why Americans Can't Have Nice Things Anymore (video)

Here's another example of willful ignorance manipulated for vote-getting.  Paul Broun and, you guessed it already, he's from Georgia.

Here's the confirmation he really said that:

What do you know, America found a preacher with even less moral responsibility than Creflo Dollar but with exactly the same aspirations (e.g. money and jetplanes).

The above is circulating just now regarding Paul Broun and it's in parallel with Supreme Court justice Antonin Scalia's announcement black people shouldn't go to schools too advanced for them.

"There are those who contend that it does not benefit African-Americans to get them into the University of Texas where they do not do well, as opposed to having them go to a less-advanced school, a slower-track school where they do well," Scalia said Wednesday during oral arguments in a case involving a race-conscious college admissions plan.  (CNN:  Supreme Court releases audio of Justice Antonin Scalia saying maybe black students don't belong at elite universities)

Some people have made comedy memes and Andy Borowitz wrote a satire for the New Yorker but there's been little to nothing at the level of demands for impeachment based on incompetence and unsuitability for the jobs these people perform.  (New Yorker:  Study: Scalia Better Off in “Less Advanced” Court)

Fundamentalist thinking as observed with Broun and also with Scalia, may be the most destructive influence in America and it has been for years.  ISIS is nothing more than a bite from a desert flea relative to the damage American fundamentalists have done to the country in terms of impeding progress, marginalizing education, and, in general, setting a standard lower than any other developed nation in the world.
