Yosemite 10.10.3 - Immediate Crash on Connecting to Internet

The review since yesterday has shown Yosemite 10.10.3 is stable when it is not connected to the Internet as it was up for over twelve hours overnight.

The last step was to connect the iMac to the cable modem to bypass the router in case of some anomaly locally.  However, on connection to the cable modem and restarting the modem, the iMac crashed immediately.

The console log from the time prior to the crash has been sent to Apple and what to do next will be pursued when next we talk.

This, actually, is what I had hoped would happen as it means it's not necessary to replace the router.  That was a problem in paying for it and also that the iMac is not the only computer connected to it.  The iMac is the only computer running Yosemite 10.10.3 as the laptop is on 10.10.2 and Yevette's machine is on Mountain Lion because it's too old to go beyond that.

The Save the 2006 Mac Pro campaign is not dead but rather is on-hold until things stabilize with the iMac.  The new processor chips for it will make it Yosemite-capable but that has to wait for now.

Update:

Data capture was completed and files have been uploaded to Apple Support.  That information will go back to Engineering and we will see what comes in the next report.

The loss of production time is grim as it's about six weeks now but it's feeling like a public service because my machine is a guinea pig and I'm keeping it that way so testing is consistent.  It seems likely an Engineering fix will be generated out of this and that benefits everyone so that's swell.
