Happy Birthday (19th Century Style)

May the challenges be complex and fascinating, the food so tempting it becomes a rapacious delight, and the music of a splendor that the Gods of Olympus will weep that they never heard such a thing before.  How about that for a birthday, huh?

The above missive was sent to a friend yesterday .... but I don't think I can ever top it, so the answer is obvious:  use it for everyone now.  (It's tempting but I won't as birthday greetings must be unique)

The greeting was not sent to some sleazy politician or other type of creep for the purpose of sucking up or some such.  I send stuff like this to real people; for politicians I can find coal, recent road kill, or something.

My all-time favorite birthday greeting came from a girl I was dating at the time. "About 150,000 people around the world died today. Congrats on not being one of them."

With that sense of humor, I'll never understand why we ever broke up!

Being smart is good and being funny is good but smart and funny. Well, yes, letting that one slip away was a mistake. Of course I have never made mistakes of this nature.
